Below are a number of resources including prayer and liturgies that APF have used over the years as part of our work in praying for peace. You can also find details of books and music that can be purchased from us direct.
Remembrance Resources
Our Remembrance Resources comprise a freely downloadable PDF, offering a range of readings, hymns, poems, and writings for use in public acts of remembrance and for worship. We include some examples of reconciliation and peacemaking post-1914. Much of the content has been written by APF members. If you do make use of the material, it would be great if you could let us know, as we always like to hear how and where resources are used.

Week of Prayer for World Peace
Each year, the Week of Prayer for World Peace Committee produces a leaflet of prayers and inspirational quotations for peace drawn from the major religious traditions. At the present time, the committee and the sponsoring body include adherents of the Baha’i, Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Jain, Jewish, Muslim, Sikh and Zoroastrian religions.
You can download the most recent leaflet for the Week of Prayer for World Peace here WPWP-23-24-final. This year, you can also order free hard copies by emailing wpwp2021@yahoo.com.
PRAYERS AT LAKENHEATH – 11 MAY 2024
On 11th May 2024, APF joined with others around the UK to protest and raise awareness of the siting of US nuclear weapons again on UK soil after their removal 15 years ago. The demonstration at the gate of RAF Lakenheath in Suffolk (where construction is underway to receive the new missiles) saw a group of local people declare the area a ‘Nuclear Free Zone’.
As part of the event, Christian CND and APF held a brief worship service.
