APF Conference 2018

Letting in the Light: positive steps for peace in a turbulent world

20-22 April 2018.  Hinsley Hall, Leeds. (Saturday Day or weekend conference)

Following on from the success of our first joint conference last year, we are doing it again!

This time we’re inviting you to Leeds, for a series of engaging talks and workshops with a number of inspiring speakers and leaders, including Kim Leadbeater from the Jo Cox Foundation; Stu Thomson from Oasis; Black Lives Matter; John Bond from Initiatives of Change; and a chance to learn about Nonviolent Communication.

There will be an opportunity to view the Faith and Peace Exhibition which has been put together by APF and the Peace Museum.  This is a touring, national exhibition on peace and peacemakers in Abrahamic religions which includes creative art by women from mixed-faith groups in Bradford.

In addition, we will be celebrating APF joining the Community of the Cross of Nails with a special service where APF will be presented with the Cross of Nails.

This will be an opportunity to gather to explore ways to build peace and restore relationships in our communities.

To book you can visit the booking page or you can download and print a booking form.

To ensure your place, book as early as possible. Booking ends on April 9th.

Weekend starts from 5pm on Friday evening, until 2pm on Sunday.

Day Program on Saturday runs from 10am – 6pm

This is a joint conference with the Anglican Pacifist Fellowship; Fellowship of Reconciliation; and Baptist, Methodist and United Reformed Church Peace Fellowships. All welcome.
