Things that Make for Peace
Bishop David Walker who welcomed us to Manchester and talked about the ways in which Christians can promote peace in these times.
Dr Alan Storkey is an economist, sociologist and artist. He is known for his writing and lectures and for his work on transport and the Arms Trade. Dr Storkey delivered the inaugural Colin Scott Memorial Lecture entitled “A Strategy for the War against War”. His talk was covered by the Church Times and a a full version of the lecture is available.
Elfrida Calvocoressi, chair of Christian International Peace Service (CHIPS). A former nurse and midwife, Elfrida has been involved in practical, grassroots peacemaking for many years, with a focus on biblical principles of Christian peacemaking. She gave a bible study on Three Kinds of Peace.
